Down with Love

With Ewan McGregor and Renee Zellweger, you can rightly expect Down with Love to be full of music and dancing, and they are good (you should publish an album, Obi-wan).

Set in New York in the 1960s, the movie always reminds you what life should be. Beautiful costume and hairstyle, glamourous (and "hi-tech") home decoration, elegant conversation ... you've them all in it.

The story starts and ends as usual odd-couple romantic comedies, like You've got Mail. But the twist in the middle of the film is really intriguing.

What makes a romantic comedy funny is not the main cast, but the supporting characters. David Hyde Pierce (as Niles in the TV series Frasier) and Sarah Paulson are really cool.

This is a refreshing comedy which can easily and happily spend your 100 minutes.

The DVD has a lot of nice "special features" including the "Blooper Reel" which are all the "NG" shots which would definitely extend your happiness.
